Poor Donald can’t seem to find anyone to help him post his $454 million bond. One would think that someone who is worth $10 billion (Trump’s words) wouldn’t have such a problem. However, like almost all things Trump, he has lied about his net worth and his wealth for his entire life. This latest development should come as no surprise to anyone who has been paying attention.
Trump’s problem is exacerbated by the fact that he has a long history of not paying people, so he is not the greatest risk for most financial institutions. They also understand that if he doesn’t pay and they sue, he will use the courts to delay, delay, delay and they will play hell getting their money. For Trump, his current problems are all self-inflicted and are called karma!
However, this is also one of the many reasons why Trump is a huge security risk for this country. I have no doubt there are people like Putin or his Russian oligarch friends who would provide the money to Trump – albeit with a few strings. As I have mentioned in these posts before there is an acronym used in the intelligence community to describe why people commit espionage. That acronym is: MICE – Money; Ideology, Compromise, Ego. Trump checks all four boxes!
We all know Trump loves money and to be viewed as very, very wealthy. Right now, he is desperate for cash. That makes him a very vulnerable target. If anyone thinks for a second that Putin isn’t keenly aware of the situation and is trying to figure out a way to exploit it, they are extremely naïve. This is something the Russians are extremely good at. (And no doubt it is just a coincidence that the infamous Paul Manafort is apparently going to work for the Trump campaign again!!)
Using the words ‘ideology’ and Trump in the same sentence is nothing but a huge oxymoron. Trump has no ideology other than to do whatever benefits him personally. That fits right in there with ‘Ego.’ Trump believes he is smarter than everyone else on the planet and believes that he will never be held to account for whatever nefarious deeds he might engage in.
That leaves us ‘Compromise.’ There has been speculation for a long time that Putin has compromising information on Trump. There was the infamous ‘Steele dossier’ purporting to contain pictures of Trump frolicking in a Russian hotel with prostitutes. Even if that information does not exist, the continued deference to Putin leads one to believe that Putin must have something on Trump.
I would be willing to bet huge sums of money that no one with the same score on the MICE scale would come anywhere close to getting even a basic security clearance and yet, here is Donald J. Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee for president who, if he is elected, will have access to the country’s most sensitive secrets. This is so far beyond ridiculous it’s truly unimaginable. What is more ridiculous is the fact that so many ‘patriotic’ Republicans who supposedly care about America are lining up behind and supporting this pathetic, desperate man who will sell this country down the drain for money.
There has been much talk about Joe Biden’s age but perhaps the better comparison between Trump and Biden is how they match up on the MICE scale. Biden doesn’t need money! Biden’s ideology is clear – he believes in the Constitution and America. Despite the sham investigations by the Republicans there has been zero evidence put forth showing Biden is at all compromised. Biden certainly doesn’t have an ego anywhere near the size of the one the monomaniacal, sociopathic Trump sports. Trump is the clear loser according to the MICE scale and is so compromised in all four dimensions he clearly has no business near the U.S. Government levers of power. That is what Americans – true patriotic Americans, should really care about.
