Why is it that, by and large, women seem to be the only ones capable of standing up to Donald Trump or invoking fear in him? It is really a fascinating phenomenon. Clearly, most of the males in the Republican party have been emasculated by Donald Trump and follow him around and do his bidding like a bunch of eunuchs in the royal court. Many women, however, have mustered the courage to take him on and that must frustrate the hell out of Trump and his band of eunuchs!
The latest woman they all seem to be afraid of is none other than Taylor Swift! Now mind you, Taylor Swift has done nothing other than write and sing her songs, perform at extremely popular concerts, and support her current boyfriend, Travis Kelce, at his football games. However, Fox News and other right-wing media have spent airtime warning their audience to be wary that Taylor is a threat in that she might endorse Joe Biden over Donald Trump and unleash her throngs of fans to flood the polls around the country.
Conspiracy theorist and former presidential candidate, Vivek Ramaswamy, even went so far as to offer that the NFL Super Bowl will be rigged to provide extra airtime for Taylor to endorse Biden during the game! That will no doubt happen just after the alien landing that is planned as part of the halftime show!
Is anyone stupid enough to believe that all of Taylor Swifts fans are Democrats? Given the legions of ‘Swifties’ out there, it is statistically improbable that would be the case. All these right-wing mouthpieces are grossly insulting the intelligence of people in their own party thinking they are going to automatically switch their votes just because Taylor Swift says so.
Taylor Swift is a very smart woman. You don’t get to be a billionaire like she is by being an airhead. I’m sure she is intimately aware of the pitfalls if she came out with a full-throated endorsement for Biden. She would get backlash from any number of quarters. I believe the most she might do is simply encourage people to vote. But even if she did endorse Biden, why does that scare the Republicans? Because many of their policies are unpopular with young voters!! It’s not rocket science! If the Republicans are unpopular with young voters, it is a self-inflicted wound and not the fault of Taylor Swift!!
Given the recent sham primary circus in Nevada where the electors were allocated based upon the results of a caucus where Trump was the only name on the ballot, the Republicans are clearly willing to go to any lengths to genuflect to the will of their orange Jesus. Given that, will Republican controlled legislatures insist on asking prospective voters if they have ever been to a Taylor Swift concert or routinely listen to Taylor Swift music as a way of winnowing down the voting population further than they already have? Will we see Jim Jordan trying to subpoena Ticketmaster and StubHub to get the records of everyone who has purchased tickets to a Taylor Swift concert?
It looks like we can add Taylor Swift to the other list of women who have caused Trump and his clown car of sycophants to shake in their boots and/or hold him to account – Liz Cheney; E. Jean Carroll; Cassidy Hutchison; Stephanie Grisham; Alyssa Farah Griffin. What a great image to the rest of the world – the man who wants to be the leader of the free world afraid of Taylor Swift who, by the way, is actually a self-made billionaire.
Trump world has become so absurd it is beginning to make Alice in Wonderland look like the paradigm of normalcy. In wrapping up, I would like to announce that unnamed sources have told me that not only will Taylor endorse Joe Biden, but she will ultimately replace Kamala Harris as his running mate for 2024! Go for it Fox News!! I clearly have better sources than Vivek!
