What the hell was Tulsi Gabbard, Trump’s Director of National Intelligence, doing at the Trump-inspired, FBI raid on the Fulton County election offices this week? Gabbard is supposed to be keeping the U.S. safe from external threats from our international enemies and yet, here she was in Georgia participating in a domestic, made-for-TV, raid to support Trump’s widely disproved rants about the 2020 election being stolen from him.  Not only was she there, but she apparently arranged a call so Trump could speak directly with the agents who conducted the raid. That is clearly unprecedented in American history and should raise tons of red flags for every American as we approach the 2026 midterms.

Additionally, it has come to light that Gabbard is the subject of a highly classified whistle blower complaint that has been kept under wraps for months. Apparently, this information has even been kept from Congress. Is this another situation like the infamous Trump phone call with President Zelensky asking that he investigate Biden and his son, in exchange for Trump releasing military aid that had already been approved by Congress? That only came to light because of whistleblower Alexander Vindman and ultimately led to Trump’s first impeachment.

Congress certainly has a right to know what the hell is going on with the head spymaster for the country, the Director of National Intelligence. Trump is always beating the drum about ‘National Security’ as a justification for his actions. If there was ever a situation involving our national security that warranted investigation one would think an issue involving the DNI would be that situation.

Could it be that our very own DNI has been using the Signal app to discuss classified information like Pete Hegseth, another inept and incompetent Trump cabinet member. Or could it be something far worse. Gabbard in the past has parroted Russian talking points and, in fact, there are those that believe she is actually a Russian asset. Who really knows if she is just incompetent or actually malevolent, but it surely seems like an investigation is warranted.

If a situation like this had occurred under Biden or Obama the GOP would be raising hell and calling for an investigation from the rooftop of the Capitol Building. But now, we just hear crickets from them. Normally, the inspector general of the agency would handle the whistleblower complaint but Trump fired all the inspectors general upon taking office so the positions are either vacant or filled with Trump toadies.

To sum up, we now have a Director of National Intelligence who is the subject of a highly classified whistleblower complaint and who is involved in domestic investigations for purported election fraud. We have a misogynistic Secretary of Defense who has used (and probably continues to use) a commercial app, Signal, for classified communications. We have Kristi Noem, the ‘ICE Barbie,’ who is head of the Department of Homeland Security, and under whose watch agents have murdered US citizens exercising their constitutional rights. And to top it off, we have Robert F. Kennedy Jr, a former heroin addict under whose watch, measles is making a dramatic comeback after almost being eradicated. Lastly, but certainly not least, we have Pam Bondi who has turned the Department of Justice into Trumps personal law firm whose sole focus seems to be revenge against anyone who happens to disagree with or criticize Trump. Does anyone feel safer in Trump’s America with these incompetent sycophants heading up these agencies?

It is mindboggling the GOP-led Senate confirmed all these seriously underqualified individuals to some of the most powerful offices in the country. It is even more mindboggling they remain silent as corruption and incompetence continues unabated every single day. Vladimir Putin and President Xi are dancing a jig every morning as they watch Trump and his toadies destroy this country.
