There are many reasons why Trump is unfit to be president of the United States. There are his numerous legal woes and his two impeachments and all of that should surely disqualify him from ever going anywhere near the White House again. However, one of the things I find most pathetic about Trump is the constant whining! He is just a never-ending cacophony of whining that you would expect from a petulant toddler or spoiled brat on the playground, but it’s really disgusting coming from the person who wants to be president of this great country and ostensible leader of the free world. It’s like fingernails on a chalkboard!
We will be watching the Super Bowl soon and I just watched the college football championship game between Michigan and Washington. Can you imagine if the coaches of those four teams acted like Trump does. Who the hell would watch the games? All the die-hard sports fanatics who are also avid Trump supporters would never give the coaches of their favorite team the same deference they give Trump.
If Trump were a coach of a team that was in the running to play in a championship, he would start months before the playoffs criticizing the officiating and saying that if they don’t make the playoffs its because the system was rigged. As the season progressed, if his team lost a game, he would blame everyone under the sun without taking any responsibility himself. He’d throw his star players under the bus. He’d throw his other coaches under the bus. He’d blame the officials. He would never look in the mirror and take responsibility for anything.
There are no well-respected coaches in college football or the pros who constantly whine and blame everyone else. People would be disgusted by such behavior. The fact is, there is no other world leader who whines like Trump does. And yet here we are in an election year and the Trump faithful seem to think they want the ‘Whiner in Chief’ in the White House again.
If Trump were to miraculously coach a football team that made it to the Super Bowl, it is a one hundred percent probability he would have already prepped the media field and loaded up on ammunition to use in the blame game if his team lost. There are, of course, the officials he would go after in his first volley. He would also probably have been making disparaging remarks about the venue before the game. “The turf wasn’t cut properly.” “The locker room for my players was bugged by the opponents.” You can just here the whining machine cranking into full gear if the Trump team were to lose.
We know this is true. He has already started laying the groundwork in case he loses the election in 2024. He is once again stating that the election will be rigged! Of course, that will only be true if he loses. If he wins, he will proclaim that it was the fairest election in U.S. history! I can hear it now. True leaders act to solve problems and overcome adversity. Losers whine and complain!
The simple fact is real leaders don’t whine! To use a variant of the Tom Hanks line in “A League of Their Own,” – There’s no whining in politics! Or at least there shouldn’t be. Despite all the other reasons Trump should not be president, we simply do not need a crybaby in the White House. Period. Full Stop.
