I don’t know about anyone else, but I feel much safer knowing the FBI is allegedly going after organizations like Habitat for Humanity. We should all applaud this judicious expenditure of our tax dollars. Why, after all, should any government grant money be used to build houses for the lower income people in our society? It really begs the question, “Why do billionaires and MAGA zealots hate poor people so much, particularly when many MAGA voters are lower income people themselves?” And it seems like the only thing this group hates more than poor people is actually helping poor people. It boggles my mind.
The mere fact the FBI is targeting organizations like Habitat for Humanity and, at the same time, the DOJ has gutted the office that once monitored election interference from foreign adversaries like Russia, Trump doesn’t want the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act enforced, he has pardoned most of the Jan. 6 insurrectionist crowd, and is trying to intimidate law firms who defend people or organizations Trump doesn’t like should tell anyone all they need to know about this administration. In short, it is corrupt to its core and not interested in governing but simply reacting to the childish whims of one man.
There is no room for any disagreement or discussion about substantive issues at all. You either get on board and are willing to shout, “The emperor looks astounding in his beautiful robe,” as he parades down the street totally naked (what a disgusting visual!) or you are subject to being pilloried in the town square, drawn and quartered on Fox News, or harassed by every lever of government Trump can pull.
Not only is there no room for any disagreement or rational discourse but the Trump administration is now going after universities under the guise of DEI to enforce their ideas of what should be taught. It is only a matter of time until individual professors are targeted because they dare defy the Trump party line. Some of the larger universities like Harvard who have huge endowments can probably withstand an assault by the MAGA crowd for a time, but smaller schools will likely be irreparably damaged. This is not the government governing, this is the government controlling free speech and the development of critical thinking, both of which are enemies of dictators and small-minded men like Trump.
Additionally, now that Trump is attacking all our longtime allies and cozying up to Putin, our former international partners will surely not be as eager or willing to share sensitive intelligence with us, particularly when you have someone like Tulsi Gabbard, the Putin apologist, as the Director of National Intelligence. This leaves the U.S. more vulnerable to future terror attacks. No doubt, ISIS, the Taliban and who knows who else are salivating right now at the diminished vision the U.S. now has. I would bet money there are attacks already being planned.
However, even in the face of real threats, the FBI and the administration have chosen to focus on things like DEI and Habitat for Humanity so we can all sleep easier given the dire threats these pose! Or not! The clowns are so busy fawning over Ringmaster Trump they have failed to realize the lions have escaped and are having a feast over at the petting zoo! It truly is a circus of the absurd!
