The nightmare of having Matt Gaetz as the United States Attorney General has ended now that Gaetz realized the evidence against him was mounting with respect to paying for sex with women and having sex with at least one underage girl. The mere fact that Trump even nominated him is beyond insulting to every single American. Trump was quick to name a replacement, Pam Bondi, the former Attorney General of Florida. While she probably doesn’t have the scandalous background and baggage that Gaetz did, she is a long-time, staunch ally of Trump. She was part of the legal team defending Trump in his first impeachment trial and has been adamantly against the investigations undertaken by special counsel, Jack Smith. I’m not sure that bodes well for a Justice Department that is supposed to be unbiased. It seems that when it comes to the part of the oath where officers swear allegiance to the Constitution of the United States, Ms. Bondi might feel compelled to interpret that to mean allegiance to Donald Trump. Time will tell but I’m not holding my breath.

Now, back to the issue at hand, sex scandals within Trump world. Just because Gaetz bowed out does not mean the potential Trump team is free of sex scandals. Pete Hegseth, Trump’s unqualified nominee to lead the Department of Defense, was involved in an alleged sexual assault incident in 2017. He was ultimately not charged in the case but paid an undisclosed amount of money to the woman in exchange for her signing a nondisclosure agreement.

Trump’s pick for Secretary of Education, Linda McMahon, was sued in October for turning a blind eye to child sex abuse during her tenure running WWE with her late husband, Vince McMahon.

In addition, there are many allegations of sexual assault against Trump himself, and he was found liable for sexual assault in a civil case and ordered to pay E. Jean Carroll, five million the first time and $83 million the second time.

Elon Musk was accused of sexual misconduct by a flight attendant. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. alleged groped a woman. Given the cast of unqualified misfits with allegations of sex crimes swirling around them that Trump has picked to date, you wonder where Jeffrey Epstein would have ended up in the current game of Cabinet musical chairs if he were still alive.

One of the primary beliefs of the Q Anon adherents is that there is a deep state of elite Satan-worshipping pedophiles that only Trump can save the country from. Does anyone else see the irony in this? It seems to me that the Q folks are looking in the wrong place. All the evidence to date seems to point to Trump and his cabinet of clown picks as the more likely place to uncover sex crimes.

The one thing all of Trump’s picks seem to have in common is that they all seem to be very telegenic. We know that ratings and appearance are everything to Trump so when Trump set out to form his cabinet, the criteria seem to be: 1) must present well in front of television cameras (also being Caucasian is considered a plus), 2) be entirely unqualified for the position you are being asked to take but have the intention of destroying that very agency, and 3) unwavering loyalty to Trump.  A little sex scandal or other acts of unethical behavior just adds spice to the resume.

I can hardly wait to see where Steve Bannon and Marjorie Taylor Greene end up. Perhaps Trump will create a Cabinet-level position for Bannon called the Office of Flood the Zone with Sh$t agency whose sole purpose will be to research ideas on how to create even more chaos in the Federal Government. MTG will likely be elevated to the Trump advisory position as Chief Political Flame Thrower.

Too outrageous and not possible you say? Anything is possible with Trump as Ringmaster in this Circus of Sycophants! As P.T. Barnum allegedly said, “There is a sucker born every minute,” and Trump is proving that day after day. And as I have said before, Presidents Putin and Xi are just doing a happy dance every single day as this circus parades down Pennsylvania Avenue.
